Prayer

is like water to my parched soul;
fresh, sweet, reviving, satisfying.
Strength starts to flow,
life starts to show.
Dreams get crystallized in the
amazing crucible of God's power.
Shower me always with the waters
of prayer. I will never cease to be amazed
how much I can be done just through prayer.

Your Writing World is a personal inspiration. I have always wanted to be a creative writer and to nurture writing skills not only in me but also in others. I love to see people become more creative in their writing and produce excellent material that they can be proud of.

I love poetry best because it allows my thoughts to wonder freely - no borders or inhibitions of grammar, punctuation, or complete sentences. That kind of freedom lends wings to the words that I write. I write poems mostly from inspiration but also upon request for specific subjects.

This blog also captures other inspirations that I'd like to share, especially life lessons and spiritual messages. Since God gave me this talent, I make a point of sharing His heart whenever He gives me a piece of it. It's my tribute to His glorious handiwork in me.

Enjoy!

Prayer

Prayer is my WATCHTOWER.
I cannot escape from my REFUGE,
My anchor of HOPE, my position of VICTORY.
Prayer makes me SECURE, as in, no devil prevails,
No deal with defeat, no fear of failure.

Prayer is also my COMPASS.
I cannot walk without it, fall beside it,
or get ashamed when I use it.
It shows me the steady NORTH where God is,
and I have to keep on looking up.
It gives perspective on the EAST and WEST,
where friends and family stretch my heart to love;
and warns me of the tricky SOUTH where my feet have to
be strong, else I will lose the ground on which I stand.

SLEEP

I laid me down
My head to rest
Softly,
Upon pillows best
I closed my eyes
And felt the caress
of sleep.
My chin fell on my chest.

With nothing to think and nothing to feel
My mind just swirled in spins of ease
My limbs now limp, I fell asleep
A last thought occurred – this sleep should not cease

Time Never Waits

The years go by without a pause
Streaming, like music no-one composed
In beats that clearly bring to mind
That time never fails, time never waits.

When life sets sail upon fast waves
Do not agree to be left behind
Discern the way to get to your dreams
Do not postpone what you know you should do

Dreams get lost when you choose to repose
On the back of some excuse that no-one will use
If money and time were all on your side
What would you rather do, assignment or delay?

While time never waits, it favors those with faith
Who make the most today, of her chance-laden grace
Abandoning all fear, they soar the heights of dreams
Their steps are never late; they know time never waits.
