Poem: Cry For Kenya

Land of Kenya, hear my cry
From all corners of my heart
I will speak and write my part
I will sway you with my words

We have brilliant brains and hands
We have lovely lands and farms
Our resources are so vast
Bringing tourists quite en-masse
Our labor, for its price,
Can be made to be our pride

Unusual history we can make
From this ground on which we stake
All the dreams we don’t forsake
For our children to be proud
Of a legacy that's profound

We have all it would take
Let's have faith inside our selves
Let's begin to make amends
Give forgiveness to our friends
Let offences be renounced
Mend our fences, end our rows
